Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze large sets of data using pivot tables or formulas to provide detailed recommendations and action plans to NGS clients.

  • Prepare reports or presentations that provide administrative and technical control recommendations to improve NGS client information security programs.

  • Ability to perform security program assessments using industry frameworks (NIST-CSF, NIST-800-53, ISO 27001, CMMC) and regulatory requirements (PCI, HIPAA, & GDPR)

  • Demonstrate consultative expertise within a cybersecurity specialization. Examples include:

  • Patching and Vulnerability Management

  • Security Incident Response Management

  • Offensive Security Assessment

  • IT and Security Tool Administration

  • Application Security and Software Development Lifecycle Management

  • Risk Assessment and Management

  • Security Compliance and Auditing

  • Assist other New Genesis Solutions team members in creation of client deliverables.

  • Occasionally travel to client sites as part of a project efforts

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a technology (IT or Security) engineering or architecture

  • 1+ year of experience in implementing cybersecurity best practices.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking.

  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.

  • Must be a self-starter who is able to initiate discussion, voice concerns, and successfully drive programs and projects to completion. This is performed as part of a team or solo in rare situations.
